West Paw's Bubbles Feast Mat combines two feeding surfaces into one mat. One side features deep grooves designed to spread food out and encourage dogs to sniff, forage and work their way through a meal. Flip it over and the other side becomes a textured lick mat for wet food, spreads and treats.

It holds up to two cups, has a non-slip design to help keep it in place and can go on the top rack of the dishwasher when dinner gets messy.

Even more interesting to us is what it's made from. The Feast Mat is manufactured in the USA using West Paw's Seaflex material, a blend of recycled ocean-bound plastic and the company's zero-waste Zogoflex material.

Materials

Seaflex: A blend of 12% recycled ocean-bound plastic and 88% zero-waste Zogoflex.

West Paw's Seaflex material is made without BPA, latex, phthalates or silicone.

The recycled ocean-bound plastic component is sourced through Oceanworks. The Oceanworks Guarantee provides standards around source authenticity, supply-chain transparency, and social and environmental compliance.

Why We Put It in the Cart

The two-in-one design initially got our attention, but the material story made us want to take a closer look.

Instead of making another feeding mat entirely from virgin plastic, West Paw incorporates recycled ocean-bound plastic into its Seaflex material. We also appreciate that they tell us exactly how much is actually in there: 12%, blended with 88% of their zero-waste Zogoflex material.

Now we're testing the practical stuff too. Does it stay put? Is it actually useful for everyday feeding? Does the dishwasher get into all those grooves? And, most importantly, do the dogs like eating from it?
