The Happy-Looking Flower

There is something about a Gerbera Daisy that just looks cheerful. This mix produces those big, classic daisy-shaped blooms in a range of colors that can include pink, yellow, red, orange, salmon, lavender, rose, cream and white.

Gerbera daisies grow about 10-18 inches tall and make beautiful garden flowers, but they're also especially good for cutting and bringing inside. They're tender perennials in warmer climates and can be grown as annuals elsewhere.

Growing Instructions

Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last expected frost using a sterile seed-starting mix. Place the pointed end of the seed downward and barely cover, as Gerbera Daisy seeds need light to germinate.

Transplant outdoors after the danger of frost has passed. Seeds can also be sown directly outdoors once the soil has warmed.

Packaging

Seed Therapy uses resealable, recyclable seed packets that contain no plastic and include detailed growing instructions. Seeds are also tested for germination.

Sometimes the reason really can be that they're pretty. We like that these are American-grown, non-GMO seeds, but we also want flowers we can enjoy outside and cut for a vase inside. With a mix of colors and those big, unmistakable Gerbera blooms, this packet seemed like an easy one to try.
