Sweet Corn Worth Making Room For

Kandy Korn is a popular hybrid sweet corn known for its sweet flavor and tender, crisp texture. Plants produce large 8-9 inch ears filled with golden-yellow kernels and are bred to be vigorous and high-yielding.

Eat it straight off the cob, throw it on the grill or freeze some of your harvest for later. Just give this one some room. Plants can reach 7-8 feet tall, and corn needs to be planted in blocks rather than one long row for proper pollination and full ears.

Growing Instructions

Direct sow after the danger of frost has passed and soil temperatures have reached at least 60°F. Plant seeds approximately 1 inch deep and 9-12 inches apart in fertile, well-draining soil.

For proper pollination, plant corn in a block of at least 4 x 4 rows rather than a single long row.

Packaging

Seed Therapy packages its seeds in resealable, recyclable packets that contain no plastic and include detailed growing instructions. Seeds are also tested for germination.
