A Peony Look Without Planting Peonies
Pale Rose Peony Poppy is an heirloom variety with large, fully double blooms covered in layers of soft, ruffled pale pink petals. The flowers have that big, romantic peony look, but they're grown as an easy annual from seed.
Once the petals fall, decorative seed pods remain on the plant and can be harvested and dried for arrangements and crafts. The plants can also readily self-sow, giving them the potential to make another appearance the following season.

Growing Instructions
Direct sow outdoors in late fall or very early spring. Poppies don't transplant particularly well, so these are best planted where you want them to grow.
Press seeds directly onto the soil surface without covering them, as they need light to germinate. Thin plants to approximately 15-18 inches apart and grow in rich, well-draining soil.
For dried seed pods, harvest after the petals have fallen and the pods have begun to dry.
Packaging
Seed Therapy uses resealable, recyclable seed packets that contain no plastic and include detailed growing instructions. Seeds are also tested for germination.
About Seed Therapy
Formerly Southern Seeds, Seed Therapy was founded by Ryan and Kim Dorn in 2019, building on more than 50 years of family experience with farming, growing and seeds. Today, it's a multi-generational family business offering more than 800 seed varieties.
We especially like their commitment to American-grown seeds and sourcing transparency. They work with trusted U.S. farms, disclose when a variety isn't grown domestically and have donated millions of seeds to schools, community gardens, churches and communities affected by natural disasters.
