After a colonoscopy that resulted in 9 polyps being removed, I started paying a lot closer attention to the products we use every single day. Not just food and ingredients, but the things we put on and around our bodies constantly without thinking twice about them.

Toilet paper unexpectedly became one of those products.

What started as a simple search for a cleaner option quickly turned into a deep dive into bleaching processes, PFAS testing, recycled paper streams, and why ultra-soft toilet paper somehow leaves lint everywhere while nobody seems concerned about it.

PlantPaper was the brand that consistently stood out.

Made from 100% FSC-certified unbleached bamboo, PlantPaper is intentionally made without:

• Bleach
• Added dyes
• Fragrance
• Formaldehyde
• Plastic packaging

The brand also routinely tests for hundreds of PFAS compounds commonly associated with paper products, with non-detect results reported across their testing panels.
