Long, squeaky and built for dogs who play a little rough.

Sven is part of West Paw's Rowdies collection, a line of plush dog toys designed with extra reinforcement for dogs who aren't exactly known for being gentle with their toys.

At 16 inches long, Sven's elongated shape gives dogs plenty to grab, carry and shake. Instead of standard plush construction, West Paw combines mesh-backed HardyTex fabric with chew-tough Zogoflex paws and stuffing made from recycled plastic bottles. There's also a hidden squeaker inside for dogs who believe finding the squeak is the entire point.

Rounded seams and a design without small attached pieces keep the construction simple. And when Sven has been sufficiently loved, dragged around and slobbered on, the whole toy is machine washable and dryer safe.

Materials

HardyTex Tough Plush Fabric: Plush fabric reinforced with a mesh backing to help resist ripping and tearing.

IntelliLoft Stuffing: West Paw's fill made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. The filling is machine washable and gives recycled plastic another use instead of relying entirely on virgin fill.

Zogoflex Paws: The chew-tough paws are made from West Paw's proprietary Zogoflex material, a durable, non-toxic, zero-waste thermoplastic elastomer (TPE).

Why We Put It in the Cart

We're curious about the entire Rowdies collection because West Paw has clearly put some thought into the places where plush dog toys typically fail.

Sven combines reinforced, mesh-backed fabric with Zogoflex paws and recycled-bottle stuffing. We especially like the longer shape on this one because it gives dogs plenty of toy to grab, carry around and generally terrorize.

We also appreciate West Paw's transparency about where it's made. Sven is hand sewn at a woman-owned factory in Indonesia, then molded and finished at West Paw's facility in Bozeman, Montana.

Now we're putting all that thoughtful construction up against the ultimate product testers: actual dogs.

No dog toy is indestructible. Choose a toy that's an appropriate size and shape for your dog and supervise your dog during play.
