It doesn't get much simpler than this: one ingredient, no fragrance, no added oils, and no extras.

MamaSuds Unscented Castile Bar Soap is made entirely from saponified olive oil (sodium olivate), staying close to the traditional olive oil-based Castile soap that originated in Spain. It's a solid version of the pure olive oil soap MamaSuds uses throughout its liquid product line.

We keep coming back to the same thing with MamaSuds: the ingredient lists are refreshingly easy to understand.

This bar contains one ingredient. No coconut oil, palm oil, synthetic fragrance, dyes, SLS, or phthalates. It's also unscented, making it an interesting option for anyone specifically trying to cut down on unnecessary ingredients and fragrance in everyday products.

MamaSuds recommends it for everything from body washing and shaving to hair and laundry. That's a lot of jobs for one little bar, so naturally, we want to see how many it can actually do well.

Rather than adding coconut or palm oil to this formula, MamaSuds keeps the bar about as straightforward as possible: saponified olive oil and nothing else.
